Location: Perth (in person - Harrisdale, Willetton, Subiaco), Online Options Available.

Everest Tutoring is WA's fastest-growing tutoring company. We help motivated ATAR students reach new heights through clear teaching, strong structure, and real support.

If you're a high ATAR graduate who genuinely enjoys teaching and wants to be part of a driven, supportive team, we'd love to hear from you.

Who we are

Everest Tutoring supports Year 11 and 12 ATAR WACE students across Perth. We run structured, high-quality programs that build concept mastery, exam technique, confidence under pressure, and consistent improvement over time.

We also provide a full pathway of support for students pursuing medicine, including UCAT prep, MMI prep, and CASPer prep. If you want to teach in a place that takes outcomes seriously and invests in students properly, you'll fit in well here.

The role

You'll teach ATAR students in small-group classes (kept intentionally small) and, where needed, 1-on-1 support. Your job is to make hard content feel clear and doable.

What you'll do:

  • Teach structured lessons for Year 11 and 12 ATAR WACE
  • Break down complex ideas into simple steps
  • Coach students on exam strategy and problem-solving
  • Build a positive classroom culture where students feel comfortable asking questions
  • Track progress and help students improve week to week
  • Work within our teaching approach and resources (so you spend less time on admin)

Subjects we're hiring for

We're currently recruiting tutors for Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics Applications, Mathematics Methods, Mathematics Specialist, English, Economics, and Human Biology.

You can teach one subject or multiple subjects, depending on your strengths.

What you'll bring

We're looking for tutors who are capable, reliable, and great with people.

Academic requirements:

  • Minimum ATAR: 95+
  • Ideal ATAR: 99+
  • Strong results in the subjects you want to teach (we care about subject strength, not just the overall number)

Skills and mindset:

  • Clear communication and the ability to simplify concepts
  • A calm, supportive teaching style, with high standards
  • Professionalism, reliability, and strong organisation
  • Genuine care for student progress

Experience:

  • Tutoring experience is preferable
  • Recent Year 12 graduates are welcome.

Commitment and compliance:

  • Full academic year commitment (preferred)
  • Willingness to sign a tutor contract
  • NDA and non-compete agreement required
  • Must have, or be willing to obtain, a Working With Children Check, Police Clearance & ABN

Locations and schedule

In-person tutoring at our Perth centres, including Harrisdale, Willetton / Rossmoyne, and Perth Modern School.

Most sessions run after school and on weekends. Timetables are set term by term and vary by subject and location.

Why tutors love working with us

This role is built for tutors who want to teach well, grow fast, and be part of something that's scaling.

  • Smaller class sizes so you can actually teach and connect
  • High-quality resources, structured lessons, and clear expectations
  • Support and training, including feedback to help you level up as a tutor
  • Strong team culture that's friendly, professional, and student-focused
  • Real impact where you see students improve over time
  • Pay transparency, starting at $40/hr
  • Clear progression with opportunities to move into Lead Tutor and Head of Department roles based on performance and responsibility
  • Broader pathway exposure, including high-performing students aiming for medicine (UCAT, MMI, CASPer)

How to apply

Apply now with your CV, ATAR results (or predicted results if you're waiting on release), and a short paragraph covering which subject(s) you want to tutor, why you enjoy teaching, and your availability (weekday afternoons, weekends).

Shortlisted applicants will complete a brief screening process, which may include a short teaching demo (video or live), followed by an interview and reference checks.
